Hi Sandy!

I wanted to let you know that Sadie is doing great!  She is the best dog ever, and I can't express to you how much my family and I love her!!!!  When I come home at night after a long day and she is waiting at the door for me with her tail wagging, the stress of the day disappears.  She loves to cuddle!!!  I am still trying to decide whether to let her in my bed at night or just keep her on her own bed next to me!

We really want to get a brother for her.  Is your waiting list really long?  What age do you think is a good age to introduce a brother or sister to Sadie?

I hope all is well!! Talk to you soon.

Hi Sandy!

Sadie had a great first Christmas!  She got so many new toys.  Most of them were from mydogtoy.com.  She must have gotten over 100 different types of bully sticks and bones from bestbullysticks.com.  My sister and dad bought her two new beds.  One has not arrived.  However, the pictures below are of one of the beds my sister got her!  As you can tell she loves it!!

Sadie loves going to this hiking area.  Christmas Eve, my sister decided to take a new path.  We got lost and ended up having to climb this huge hill with rocks and snow.  Sadie and Court made it to the top with no problem.  I kept slipping and falling.  The shoes I was wearing were probably not appropriate for the hike.  Anyway, I fell and started laughing and so did Court.  Well, the entire time Sadie kept turning around to be sure I was right behind them.  When I fell she came running back down and grabbed my coat and started pulling me.  She was trying to help me up the mountain.  My loyal baby girl was not going to leave me behind. :)  She is such an amazing puppy!! I just love her so much!!!

We are getting a huge snow storm today.  It will be Sadie's first major snow fall.  I have a feeling she is going to love it!!

Hi Sandy!

Sadie had her third vet appointment!  Here are the numbers:
      8 Weeks - 18.5
    12 Weeks - 34.4
    16 Weeks - 50.4

She is growing like a weed!  I am amazed at how fast she is growing.  She has a lot of muscles in her legs and is very strong.  My mom thinks she runs like a kangaroo and her legs remind her of a deer.  She is extremely fast!!  She went to the beach today for the first time, and she loved it!!  She is extremely friendly and wants anyone that walks by to pay attention to her.  Sadie loves other dogs and loves her playmate Cashel (Newfoundlander).  She is extremely observant and agile.  She makes us laugh so much!!  Her teeth are really bothering her right now, so we are trying to just provide her with plenty of chew toys!  She loves her new puppy class and is learning so many new things.

Thanks again and we will talk to you soon!

Hi Sandy!

I wanted to give you an update on our beautiful girl Sadie.  She went for her second vet appointment a couple of weeks ago.  The vet said she looked great.  Sadie actually fell asleep during the exam.  LOL.

She now can go down the back stairs on her own, but we did purchase a ramp a few days ago to make it easier on her joints.  She started puppy kindergarten.  Today is her second class.  She watched from a distance her first class.  Everyone got a huge kick out of that.  She was the youngest in the class, but the biggest.  LOL.  I have a feeling that tonight she will be a little more comfortable in class and take over.  This morning she played with an eleven-week old boxer.  It was hysterical because Sadie was so much bigger than him and she kept trying to step on the boxer's head.  We have been taking her everywhere with us, and she gets so much attention from everyone.  We went to visit a friend of mine and Sadie fell totally in love with her six-year-old son.  They were inseparable.  This weekend we are taking Sadie to see her boyfriend's first soccer game.   We have signed her up for swimming, and her first session is November 6.  She has to be four months to start.  We are looking into signing up for puppy agility.  I have to find out the age of when she can start.  She is timid of the traffic in our area, but the more I expose her to it the better off she will be.  Her nipping is getting better.  I use a correction (Shaker Coke can with Pennies) and if she continues to nip, I put her out of the room for a "time-out."  That seems to work and eventually she will understand that nipping is not acceptable.

Thanks again for Sadie and for all your help.  Talk to you soon.
