Hi Jim and Sandy

I am so bummed that we will not be able to attend the reunion this year.  I know Finn would absolutely love to run and play with his siblings.  He is so friendly to everyone... dogs, cats, people.  We couldn't have asked for a better addition to our family.  I am always amazed at how smart this breed is.  He really understands us when we speak to him and has a huge heart.  I have to say you were so right when you talked about how this breed likes to be with its people.  Even when I am unloading the dishwasher, he is right behind me.  When I cook he is leaning on my leg or sitting on my foot.  It hasn't even been a year since he's with us and there is such a strong bond.

Take Care
Michelle

Hi Sandy and Jim,

Finn visited the vet today.  He is 11 weeks and 6 days old and a whopping 37lbs!  He is doing so well and we love him so much already.  I have to say he is a pleasure to have in our family.  He is fully housebroken already, he looks at the front door and barks at his leash when he needs to go out and has never had an accident in his crate.  He seems so eager to please that training is going really well.  Brian has already successfully taught him to sit and lay down using the clicker and treats.  He also knows the "leave it" command and will listen to us even when we leave a very tempting pair of slippers on the floor near the couch.  When he starts to pick them up, we say leave it and he just looks at them and barks, like he wants them so badly but wants to please us more.  He is doing well with socialization.  Always wanting to play with our grumpy old Springer Butch and very curious about the cat (who keeps his distance; he hasn't figured out that he's a friend yet).  We really couldn't have picked a better breed or a better boy for our family!

Talk to you soon,
Michelle
